CALDERYS PRESENCE IN INDIA

Calderys' presence in India is built on a legacy dating back to 1936, with the formation of Associated Cement Companies (ACC) and the launch of its Refractory Division in 1951, marking the formal beginning of dedicated refractory operations.

In 2005, the division was renamed ACE Refractory, and in 2007 it became ACE Calderys, entering the global Calderys family. By 2012, the entity was fully rebranded Calderys, aligning with the Group's global identity.

In 2015, Calderys commissioned and started up a new plant in Wankaner, joining the existing 3 plants to strengthen its domestic manufacturing footprint. The 2020 acquisition of HYSIL and its plant further deepened our product portfolio and manufacturing presence in the country.

In 2024, Calderys started the construction of the state-of-the-art plant in Odisha, also known as CAPES. The plant is planned to be fully commissioned by 2027, reinforcing our commitment to serving the Indian market with world-class refractory solutions.
