Iron & Steel
Calderys Japan provides an extensive range of refractory solutions tailored for the steel industry, with a strong focus on monolithic refractories and precast blocks. These solutions are designed for various furnace systems, including electric arc furnaces (EAF), reheat furnaces, soaking pits, and induction heaters. Refractory linings are also available for auxiliary steelmaking equipment such as ladles.
The Group’s solutions are designed to optimize total cost and performance by addressing key factors such as installation methods, labor costs, energy consumption, and CO₂ emissions, enhancing operational efficiency of customers.
Calderys leverages its global network, through its footprint in Japan and HWI, its brand for the Americas to further expand product portfolio, including electro-fused bricks and fluxes. Additionally, by leveraging our domestic production and inventory capabilities, we can flexibly respond to short lead-time orders.
Calderys also provides integrated project execution, delivering total solutions from design to installation. We are committed to supporting stable and efficient operations for our customers through advanced refractory technologies and services.
Foundry
With over 100 years of proven expertise in the foundry industry, Calderys is a global leader in refractory solutions for both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. In Japan, the company supports a wide range of foundry operations, including cast iron, cast steel, aluminum, copper, and zinc.
Calderys Japan provides tailored refractory solutions for all types of foundry equipment, including coreless induction furnaces, channel-type furnaces, and ladles. Our local foundry experts in Japan design and recommend the most suitable refractory configurations to match each customer’s specific operating conditions.
More than just high-quality refractory products, the offering includes complete solutions, from engineering and material supply to installation and technical support.
Among our flagship products, the “SILICA MIX” series is a globally recognized best-selling dry ramming mix. It is made from high-purity, fine-crystalline quartzite sourced from Calderys’ own mine in Sweden.
With the addition of the TORAM® product line, Calderys has further enhanced its ability to provide a more diverse and flexible range of refractory solutions.

Thermal
Calderys provides high-performance refractory solutions for a wide range of industries such as aluminum rolling and secondary refining, incineration, power generation, cement, petrochemicals, glass manufacturing, and pulp & paper.
Customers in these sectors operate facilities that integrate complex and diverse technologies, where high productivity and operational stability are critical. Selecting the optimal refractory solution is therefore essential to achieving these goals.
Calderys offers a comprehensive range of material solutions—including bricks, castables, precast blocks, anchors, and insulation materials.
