As we move into the second half of 2025, the CAPES (Calderys Plant in East & South India) project in Odisha continues to gain momentum, with key infrastructure now entering trial and commissioning phases.

From July 9–11, 2025, Calderys will exhibit at Aluminum China & Copper China at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, booth 1H35 in Hall N1. The event offers a prime opportunity to present the group’s comprehensive refractory solutions tailored to the aluminum industry and advanced foundries application.

In recent months, teams across the EMEA, APAC, and the Americas regions have hosted dynamic events to bring together valued partners and customers, sharing insights, building relationships, and co-creating the future of high-temperature solutions.

The development of Project CAPES in Odisha, India, is progressing well. Known as CAPES (Calderys Plant in East & South India), this strategic investment reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation, excellence, and sustainability while addressing the evolving needs of the Indian refractory market, particularly in the eastern and southern regions.

From May 20 to 23, Calderys China took part in METAL CHINA 2025 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin. As one of the leading trade events for the metallurgy and foundry sectors, the exhibition served as an important platform for Calderys to present its One Stop Shop Solution for metal producers and foundries.

As the only refractory maker taking part in the project, Calderys recently selected the refractories for the energy storage unit which will be assembled in the coming months before testing. The project is on track for completion in the second half of 2026.
