Aluminium China 2026: Calderys showcases customized refractory lining solutions for the aluminum industry

From July 8–10, 2026, Calderys exhibited at Aluminium China 2026, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). At booth 1H35, the Calderys team in China presented its customized refractory lining design solutions for the aluminum industry, welcoming customers, partners, and industry peers from across the region.

The event offered a valuable opportunity for Calderys to engage directly with aluminum producers and reinforce its position as a trusted refractory partner for the industry, from primary production to secondary melting and holding applications.
At the booth, Calderys showcased three of its ALKON® solutions, each addressing a specific challenge faced by aluminum producers:

ALKON® FD products: a range of fast-dry, hydraulically bonded low-cement castables designed to reduce heat-up time, without the need for external drying equipment. ALKON® FD series helps producers reduce maintenance downtime and turnaround time for major repairs.

ALKON® GUN B 80: a high-alumina, non-wetting gunning material developed for fast furnace repair and maintenance. With a rebound rate below 10%, it is widely used across Calderys' aluminum furnace maintenance projects as a quick, reliable solution for both rapid installation and lining protection.
ALKON® CAST MM 68 W10: a steel-fiber reinforced castable engineered to protect furnace linings against thermal shock and mechanical impact. Its specialized self-flowing castable matrix allows for a high proportion of high-grade metal fiber, suitable for use up to 1,300 °C.

Together, these solutions reflect Calderys' broader approach to the aluminum industry: combining product performance with practical, on-site value including faster installation, lower rebound and material loss, reduced downtime, and longer lining life.
