HWI to exhibit at Glassman LATAM 2026, launching a new refractory solution for the Glass industry

HWI, A member of Calderys, will be exhibiting at Glassman Latin America 2026, taking place May 20–21 at Expo Santa Fe in Mexico City, Mexico. Visitors can find the HWI team at Booth B06.
This year's event marks a significant milestone for HWI as the company simultaneously launches AZTECH-S, a next-generation refractory solution designed specifically for glass furnace superstructures.
Introducing AZTECH-S: Performance above the Molten Glass line
AZTECH-S is engineered to meet the glass industry's growing demand for higher performance, longer campaign life, and improved product quality, particularly in the superstructure zone above the molten glass. Utilizing a premium sintered AZS (alumina-zirconia-silica) composition, the product delivers enhanced resistance to corrosion and volatilization mechanisms commonly experienced in this demanding area of the furnace.
AZTECH-S reflects HWI’s commitment to continuous innovation and to providing solutions that align with the evolving operational goals of modern glass producers.
As the direct successor to the legacy VISTA grade, AZTECH-S provides glass manufacturers with a seamless upgrade path, offering improved performance while maintaining compatibility with existing furnace designs and operating conditions. Ongoing industrial trials are already demonstrating measurable improvements in product quality and durability, with early results indicating enhanced resistance to alkali attacks and lower wear rates.
