Rotary Furnace
These types of moving hearth furnaces tend to be used for variable size and geometry stocks. Our systems offer fast, user-friendly installation, good lining performance and overall energy cost savings. A very performing range of insulating products allows us to replace advantageously the ceramic fiber materials.
ALL DETAILS
Bogie Furnace
Bogie furnaces are of two types: Annealing with max temperature of 1150°C and Forging with max temperature of 1350°C. We can propose diverse solutions depending on your needs; we have selected some of our best sellers for this application.
ALL DETAILS
Pusher Furnace
The operating temperature in a pusher furnace is generally up to 1250°C (for special steel grades like high silicon steel please contact us directly). Calderys has a full range of solutions: cast-in situ, plastic to cast/gun/ram, Quick Drying and Sol-Gel, Spraycast or Precast.
ALL DETAILS
Walking Beam Furnace
Walking Beam furnaces are the most advanced type of furnaces for the reheating of heavy and thick products. The temperature is generally around 1250°C but can reach 1450°C in some cases. Calderys has a full range of solutions: cast-in situ, plastic to cast/gun/ram, Quick Drying and Sol-Gel, Spraycast or Precast.
ALL DETAILS
Walking Hearth Furnace
Walking Hearth furnaces allow the transportation and reheating of different sizes of material. Unfortunately, the back-face of the stock cannot be heated so that the stock residence time may be long. Consequently, the corrosion by scaling becomes important as well as abrasion. The temperature is generally around 1250°C. Calderys has a full range of solutions: cast-in situ, plastic to cast/gun/ram, Quick Drying and Sol-Gel, Spraycast or Precast.
ALL DETAILS
Soaking Pit Furnace
This furnace is for holding hot steel ingots to equalize their temperature before they are hot-rolled in a steel-making or rolling mill complex. Normal practice is to charge ingots into the soaking pits immediately after stripping from the moulds whilst they are still hot. Soaking pit temperatures are generally controlled at 1300°C. Each pit may hold several ingots and serves to bring the ingots up to a uniform temperature for rolling and to act as a reservoir to accommodate fluctuations in the flow of ingots.
ALL DETAILS
Roller Furnace
The roller hearth conveyor system consists of a series of externally driven rolls. There are no cumulative conveyor pressures or tensions as in belt, chain or pusher furnaces. As a result, there are no production or cycle limitations and furnace length is dependent only upon your application needs. Because individual conveyor rolls are externally driven and remain in the same temperature zones, they are not subject to thermal cycling and can be designed for maximum operation life at working temperatures. You will find below a brief description of our range.
ALL DETAILS
Casthouse Floor
Our castables for iron troughs are designed to combine a total reliability with a reduced maintenance downtime, whatever the length of the campaign.
ALL DETAILS
BOF Converter
BOF operations are at the forefront of refractory engineering and services. At Calderys, we understand the dynamics between lining design and refractory selection, in order to maximize the highest possible vessel performance.
ALL DETAILS
Tap-Hole
Tap-hole clay manufacturer for over 40 years, Calderys will put its experience and expertise to work for you with customized tap-hole clay options, to optimize the 3 main operations of a blast-furnace: plugging, opening and casting operations.
ALL DETAILS
Blast Furnace
Repairing the stack allows to extend the lifetime of the blast furnace and to insure best possible productivity and constant quality of the cast iron at the lowest possible consumption of coke and energy.
ALL DETAILS
Ladles & Receivers
Calderys offers a variety of refractory solutions for all kind of ladles, receivers, and converters as well as unheated pouring units which usually are all exposed to extreme temperature changes as well as aggressive slag build-up. Versatile products reduce the amount of work needed to keep those vessels clean and ready for their job.
ALL DETAILS
Steam Methane Reformer
For the steam methane reformer, Calderys will partner with you to choose the ideal mix of high-performing insulating refractories. Our XL monolithic range provides excellent insulating value, and where more strength is needed the LW range can be employed.
ALL DETAILS
SRU - Main Combustion Section
These units (SRU - Main Burner, Main Combustion Chamber and Waste Heat Boiler) are severely under attack from high temperatures, thermal shock, and sulphur. Calderys has a complete range of CO resistant materials and engineering designs to withstand the demanding requirements of the SRU.
ALL DETAILS
Grate cooler
The grate cooler is divided into different sections. The hot part requires a heat-resistant lining withstanding the high chemical load. The colder part can be lined with standard materials like chamotte-based monolithics or bricks.

Rotary kiln
Calderys is offering and installing standard products based on the worldwide established refractory design for cement rotary kilns. However, we have developed unique solutions on the market for the most critical areas of the kiln.

The tire positions are very often showing strong shell deformations making it difficult to install bricks. Calderys’ solution for these areas is a unique monolithic concept. With our CALDE®  MAG CAST K 85 SP we are not only able to do easy installations but we also significantly increase the performance in these kiln sections.
