Calderys supplied equipment, refractories and expertise to steel plant manufacturer, Sarralle, to put into operation the world's first ladle preheating station running on 100% green hydrogen as fuel.

Since June 2022, Calderys has been supporting energy company Shell in modernizing its ethylene steam cracker in Moerdijk in the Netherlands.

In February 2023, Calderys and HWI joined forces to create a single, market-leading, high temperature solutions provider. Twelve months later, the two have become a unified Group, and are sharing technologies from one region to another to offer an expanded portfolio of world-class refractory products for high temperature industries around the globe.

Calderys is a partner in TWINGHY, an EU project testing hydrogen as a fuel to replace natural gas in the reheating furnaces of the steel sector. The project kicked-off in the summer of 2023 and is scheduled to conclude in 2027.

To underline our dedication to sustainability, Calderys Group has initiated in 2023 the Calderys Group Sustainability Awards. This internal competition recognizes the progress we are making in sustainable development and celebrates our achievements in this crucial area.
