Standardizing Product Carbon Footprint Rules at Calderys
To provide our customers with accurate and reliable environmental impact data, Calderys is progressively adopting these standardized Product Carbon Footprint calculation rules across our product portfolio, to be fully in line by the end of this year. This common methodology ensures transparency and supports our customers in making informed decisions regarding their sustainability goals.
Ad-hoc studies on customer requests
Studies on the Product Carbon Footprint of our products will be carried out at our customer’s request. These ad-hoc studies will be directly responded to by our sales team, ensuring that our customers receive timely and relevant information.
Integration into new product development
In addition to those ad-hoc studies, in-depth PCF studies will be integrated into the development process of our Group’s new products. This proactive approach allows us to embed sustainability considerations into our product design from the outset.
Common methodology compliance
We now have a common methodology for calculating the PCF of our refractory products, and the Calderys Group, including HWI, a Member of Calderys, will align with this methodology. This standardized approach is crucial for enabling our customers to compare refractory solutions on a consistent basis. This, in turn, will have a significant impact on their Scope 3 emissions, helping them achieve their sustainability goals.
