Standardizing Product Carbon Footprint Rules at Calderys
At Calderys, we are committed to sustainability and transparency in our operations. As an active member of the World Refractories Association (WRA), we have collaborated with key industry players to develop and refine Product Carbon Footprint standards, ensuring consistency and reliability across the sector. This initiative involved 11 companies, each contributing with two members to the working group from January to November 2024.

CALDE® GUARD is an all-encompassing concept, combining a boron-free refractory lining with a precast top ring and delivering dedicated installation, service and after-care. This concept, which is dedicated to coreless induction furnaces, will give customers better environmental sustainability while increasing the mechanical strength of the refractory and improving cost and operational efficiency.

Calderys powers first waste-to-energy plant in Australia
The Calderys team in Australia has played a key role in Western Australia’s first thermal waste-to-energy (WTE) facility in Kwinana. This milestone project, featuring a 2x600 tons per day (TPD) WTE boiler, advances the region’s renewable energy landscape by converting waste into valuable energy and reducing landfill dependency.
