At the end of 2024, Calderys teams in China hosted the 2024 Calderys Technology Day-Foundry in Zhangjiagang, China, bringing together over 50 foundry professionals and technical engineers. This two-day event was designed to provide attendees with the latest updates on Calderys’ products, applications, and innovative solutions, aimed at enhancing efficiency, product quality, and sustainability in the foundry industry. The event also fostered valuable connections and knowledge exchange among industry professionals.

Seeking to solve a specific issue for all refractory furnace customers, Calderys is expanding its offering in fast-drying cement-bonded castables, with the CALDE® FD (Fast Dry) supplementing the current diverse products family. CALDE® FD is now offered as standard in furnace installations, helping to remove the bottleneck of slow-drying furnace areas. This technology is also now available in ALKON®, a refractory range dedicated to aluminum contact.

PITTSBURGH, PA – October 31, 2024 – HWI, a member of Calderys, one of the leading suppliers of refractory products and services in the United States, today announced plans to construct a new lightweight monolithics production facility at its Fulton, Missouri, Rotary Kiln complex. The state-of-the-art plant represents an important investment in Calderys Group’s growth strategy for the Americas region and is scheduled to open in mid-2025.
