Calderys team in Sézanne came together for breast cancer awareness month
On Tuesday, October 21, employees came together for a special event combining awareness, prevention, and solidarity.
The program included:
- Distribution of pink T-shirts to all employees as a symbol of unity and support.
- A presentation and prevention session led by Jérôme Sicard, pharmacist and President of the Actions Croisées association in Châlons-en-Champagne.
- An information stand hosted by Actions Croisées volunteers, offering leaflets and personalized guidance.
- A workshop, emphasizing the importance of early detection.
- A shared lunch to close the event in a spirit of solidarity and reflection.
Ahead of the event, employees also took part in an “Octobre Rose” team challenge held from October 17–19, where participants tracked their steps to raise funds for Actions Croisées. Our teams achieved over 1.4 million steps that will be converted into a donation to support the association’s local initiatives.
Through this initiative, the Sézanne team demonstrated Calderys’ commitment to safety, care, and community well-being.
Actions Croisées, created in 2012 in Châlons-en-Champagne, supports cancer patients and their families, helping them improve their quality of life through pain management, nutrition advice, psychological and social support, and self-esteem workshops. The association recently opened a branch in the city of Sézanne to expand these services into the rural community.
