Calderys Group and HWI Showcase Expanded Refractory Portfolio at Glasstec 2024
Düsseldorf, Germany – October 22, 2024 – Calderys and HWI will be exhibiting together for the first time at Glasstec 2024, the most important show for glass manufacturers. With a focus on assisting customers with their energy transition needs, the group will demonstrate how its refractory products, services, and expertise drive critical advancements in the industry and foster sustainability and efficiency in glass production with solutions such as refractory bricks and precast shapes that reduce electricity consumption.
Since 2023, when HWI joined the Calderys Group, transatlantic technical teams have worked hard on a technology exchange program to bring HWI’s innovative, tried-and-tested glass refractory products and services to Calderys’ EMEA customer base. The Calderys group can now offer a full set of refractory bricks, a mineral wool soluble spray insulating material and precast shapes for all types of glass furnaces.
EMEA glass makers can leverage Calderys local production of NIKE ® 60 EU and AUREX ® 30 SR EU in addition to the USA manufactured brick portfolio supplying the glass industry. All products within the portfolio are designed to have excellent thermal shock resistance while withstanding glass corrosion in service. It can be used both for top paving as well as melt line overcoat linings. It is manufactured in our Haznedar Durer production plant (Türkiye).
