5,000 Days of Safety: A Milestone for Calderys' Zhangjiagang Plant
Since its establishment in 2006, the Zhangjiagang plant has been at the forefront of Calderys' safety-first culture, reflecting the company’s commitment to fostering a zero-accident work environment. This milestone is a testament to the team's dedication and the robust safety systems embedded in our operations.
At Calderys, safety is not just a priority - it’s a collective effort and commitment within the group. We’ve developed a comprehensive safety framework that includes the "Take 5" approach - Think through the task, look for exposure, assess the risk, take precautions and do the job safely – along with detailed risk assessments, employee training and ongoing improvement to safety standards.
These measures have empowered every individual at the plant to take ownership of workplace safety, transforming each employee into a safety advocate.
Over the years, our Zhangjiagang plant has earned recognition for its safety practices. Notably, in 2018, the plant was honored by local safety authorities, and in 2021, it received a safety certificate from the World Refractories Association (WRA).
The achievement of 5,000 accident-free days is not the end but a stepping-stone toward even greater safety goals. This milestone inspires us to remain vigilant and foster a culture of continuous improvement
