Bhuinpur, Khordha district, Odisha, India – April 9, 2026: Calderys officially inaugurated its new facility on April 8, 2026, in a ceremony honored by the presence of Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, and Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education, alongside senior government officials, industry leaders, and distinguished guests.

This ceremony marks an important milestone for Calderys, as the facility has now successfully commissioned its first two production lines and is well advanced in its construction program. The acidic monolithics line entered commercial production in May 2025, followed by the basic monolithics line in November 2025. These two lines are already delivering high-performance refractory solutions to customers across India. Acidic and basic bricks lines, steel casting fluxes and taphole clays lines are currently under development and scheduled to become operational later in 2026.

Spanning 45 acres, the new plant will ultimately house six advanced production lines dedicated to acidic and basic monolithics and bricks, steel casting fluxes, and tap-hole clays, as well as cutting-edge quality testing units. Strategically located near major industrial hubs, it is designed to serve India's fast-growing iron & steel, cement, aluminum, petrochemical, energy and foundry sectors.

The facility has been designed with sustainability at its core, incorporating solar energy and clean fuel, dust emission control, rainwater harvesting, zero-water discharge systems, and 33% green cover across the site. Once completed, it will create 350 skilled jobs, with Calderys committed to providing vocational training and long-term career pathways for the youth of Odisha. 

By localizing production, reducing India's reliance on imports, and creating skilled employment, this investment embodies the spirit of the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, positioning Calderys at the forefront of Odisha's industrial growth.
