CALDE® MICA range
Calderys complements CALDE® SILICA MIX with the CALDE® MICA range, designed to protect induction furnace coils and support efficient relining operations.

Installed between the coil and the refractory lining, CALDE® MICA sheets provide excellent electrical insulation and act as a protective barrier against zinc and carbon deposition, reducing the risk of short circuiting the coil by the event of deposits in the silica. CALDE® MICA also functions as a slip plane, which helps the used silica lining glide out from the coil/furnace. This facilitates push-out during relining and helps maintain consistent furnace geometry. Used together with CALDE® SILICA MIX, CALDE® MICA contributes to safer furnace operation, reduced maintenance constraints, and improved lining management for foundry operators.
The range exists in two sizes:
- CALDE® MICA S, with a sheet thickness of 0,4mm
- CALDE® MICA COMBI, with a sheet thickness of 2,4mm
