Dampers are used to redirect air stream from one outlet to another. They are challenged by thermal shocks, where solid refractories are essential.
Highly abrasive environments and the occurrence of thermal shock favour andalusite based refractory solutions with zirconia additions. At Calderys we apply two main installation techniques for the damper: casting and precast in cooperation with the customer.
